MUHBA Turó de la Rovira

Perched high above Barcelona, the Turó de la Rovira is both a spectacular viewpoint and a remarkable piece of the city's history. The hill preserves the remains of an anti-aircraft battery built during the Spanish Civil War, later incorporated into the informal settlement of the Canons, which remained here until 1990.

Today, the site forms part of the MUHBA Museu d'Història de Barcelona, combining archaeological remains, historical information and panoramic views across the city. From the summit, Barcelona unfolds from the Mediterranean to the surrounding hills, offering a different perspective on how the city has grown around this historic hilltop.

Free to access, the Turó de la Rovira is one of those places where the landscape and the history of Barcelona are inseparable.

The Turó de la Rovira is freely accessible, with no admission charge to the site or the MUHBA museum area. The museographic spaces have limited opening hours that vary throughout the year. Current schedules should be checked before visiting, as access hours can change.

The site is particularly worth visiting for its combination of Barcelona's Civil War history, the remains of the anti-aircraft battery, the former Canons settlement and its exceptional views across the city.
